World Fraternity and Apology Day

Have you ever felt like burdened with hurting someone? Did you feel like being sorry for any of your mistakes? Have you felt a strong emotion inside your heart that it didn’t let you sleep? Well, saying “sorry” is all that it takes to make you feel happy and free at heart. The only way to get out of such a feeling is to apologize and make everything normal for all.

14th September is celebrated every year across the globe, with the same notion of expressing your feelings of being sorry if you think you have knowingly or unknowingly hurted someone.

Alexander Pope rightly said, “To err is human; to forgive, divine.” Its natural for us to make mistakes, but to forgive someone for such mistakes is what changes the world around. This day is specially celebrated so the members of a fraternity (A fraternity is a group of people sharing a common interest) can admit their faults and try to come better off it. Getting together and celebrating such a day will make every member feel light and happy inside.

Even though when and how it was started is not clear, but World Fraternity and Apology Day has been celebrated on the 14thSeptember for many years, to remind people that remaining united can bring about a significant change in the society. And it also ensures that a simple act of being sorry can work wonders in relationships in the society.
