  • India’s first indigenous aircraft INS Vikrant launch today: India will launch its first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. This aircraft creates an entry into a select club of countries capable of designing and building a carrier of this size and capability

  •  HP Govt. serious about checking mining issue: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is serious about the mining issues as Congress Govt. had failed to check illegal mining activity in Himachal Pradesh.

  • Apple to release next iPhone in next month: As per the Technology blog, one of the world’s largest technology company Apple is expected to release its redesigned iPhone in September.

  • Kingfisher Airline-Lenders takeover the Mumbai office:  Lenders took possession of erstwhile corporate office of Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) near Mumbai airport’s domestic terminal to recover Rs 6,072 crore along with interest.

  • Seemandhra-Huge number of Govt. employees would participate in strike: Around 3.5 lakh state government employees and one lakh workers from public sector companies including APSRTC would join strike against Congress Working Committee’s decision to bifurcate the state.

  • Govt. tables bill exempting parties from RTI act: The government is scheduled to introduce a bill to modify the RTI Act excluding political parties from the ambit of the law in LokSabha.

  • After the measures announced by RBI to support domestic currency,  the rupee gained 31 paise to trade at 60.57 against dollar on increased selling of the US currency by banks.
  • Google added ads on maps app: Google has announced the new ‘ad-feature’ to its Maps service, allowing users to quickly call, save or share the particular location searched for. Advertisers will need to add location extensions to their campaigns.

  • TCS investing Rs. 500 crore on software development campus:IT giant Tata Consultancy Services is setting up a software development campus in Indore with an investment of Rs 500 crore in two phases

  • Twitter to launch #PAC: Micro blogging network Twitter has approved formation of a new political action committee #PAC through which company executive and employees steer donations to federal candidates and hire a federal lobbyist William Cart for the same.
