Delhi University scraps B.Tech and BMS Courses after FYUP rollback

As per the latest announcement by the Delhi University, all the B.Tech and BMS courses will be scraped now, thus converting all  four-year undergraduate programme courses to three year under graduate programs. This decision came one day after the Delhi University Vice Chancellor declared the rollback of the controversial four year degree programme (FYUP). The Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh issued a statement asking principals of various colleges under DU to start the admission process soon.

Finally, the uncertainty over the DU admission process has come to an end with the latest decision for the year 2014-15. Over 2.7 lakh students have already applied for the current session admissions in DU for approximately 54,000 seats in 64 colleges of the university.

This decision comes in wake of the continuous row of differences between the DU and the UGC for long time, with special reference to the FYUP programme.
