Russia regrets Kofi Annan’s resignation
As the United Nations-Arab League envoy for Syria Kofi Annan has resigned, Russia expressed its regret over it and called for urgently finding a successor to him. Russia also said that peaceful settlement of Syrian problems retains relevance for it.
Facebook’s first quarterly report revealed 83 million fake accounts
Facebook has admitted having more than 83 million fake profiles, as revealed by its first quarterly report to U.S. financial regulators. The accounts include millions created for users’ pets also. According to the report, 8.7% of the accounts are unreal.
India to help Sri Lanka with SEZ
India will be helping Sri Lanka in establishing a special economic zone for manufacturing of auto components in Trincomalee. This SEZ would promote exports to the production chains in India.
India and Sri Lanka are aiming to double the bilateral trade by 2015, which crossed the $5-billion mark this year.
