National Highways of India

The National Highways in India are constructed and maintained by the National Highway Authority of India which was constituted by an act of Parliament, the National Highways Authority of India Act,1988.

This Authority was operationalised in Feb, 1995 and is also responsible  for matters connected or incidental thereto.
