1st July: National Doctor’s Day – It  is celebrated in the tribute of physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy and to recognize contributions of doctors towards society. He was the chief minister of West Bengal from 1948 to the year 1962 till his death. He acquired the great achievement as he accomplished F.R.C.S. and M.R.C.P. within only two years and three months duration. Important Days in September

  8th September: World Literacy Day  Endorsed by UNESCO, this day is announced for spreading literacy awareness among the world’s illiterate communities. Adopted in the year 1965 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the International Literacy Day is observed every year, on this day with a new mission. The theme of the International Literacy Day 2012 is Literacy and Peace.
